Job Summary:

The Estimating & Business Development Manager owns the business development & estimating cycles. This position will work with the FGS General Manager to direct marketing efforts to expand services and geographic locations. This position writes estimates and conducts the final review of estimates through the close of the sale of the project. This role will be the subject matter expert for the software systems used including maintaining, training staff and ensuring compliance of use. 

Principal Duties:

• Responsible for maintaining professional affiliations (Contractor Connection, TPAs) by attending conferences, developing and meeting required goals and reporting on results
• Meet with clients: property owners and/or adjusters and inspect new projects to determine the scope of work based on assessment of damages
• Coordinate with insurance adjusters, property owners, and/or property managers to estimates and expectations and refine the scope so that it is agreeable to all parties
• Perform all estimating with the exception of TPA and Affiliated/WMC work using Xactimate Software and deliver the estimate to the insurance company
• Effectively communicate and oversee the pass the baton process for the projects to the production team
• 50% of the time will be spent on business development: ensuring sales and marketing efforts are producing leads and our Estimators are closing the sales 
• Sales & Marketing: lead and oversee the sales function for the entire company, generating new business, expanding current services and geographic areas, and building relationships with adjusters and property managers
• Facilitate training and networking events for various insurance representatives
• Financial responsibility: accountable for company GP and profitability track monthly performance, develop and maintain budgets for all restoration projects on cash and accrual basis, reviewing results and improving margins, monthly reforecasting
• Human Resources: lead, coach, develop staff through mentoring, reviews, training and resource allocation for staff management
• Strategic management: create and implement strategic plan, be a contributing member of the strategic planning committee, improvement and implementation of industry standard processes and procedures and the management of software
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors 
• Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans
